The extremely successful MSDS (Macchina Sport derivato dalla Serie), usually known as the "Gran Sport", was the final derivative of the original 175 and 200cc models. It was produced in 1961-2. 26hp at 9,500rpm. Peter's collection. Photographed near Sydney in April 2010.
The following has been brought to my attention. "This frame was built until 1959 and never originally equipped with a 250 engine. The seat and the front fender are non-Parilla. The tank is most probably a replica. It at least was used only on very few works bikes that looked completely different. The foot pegs and rear brake leverage are home-made and the rear suspension is after-market and much too recent. The carb is too big (it looks like a 32mm) and the float bowl is the wrong type.
